Read this to avoid a honeymoon horror story.
1. Plan Your Honeymoon Together: It is so important that you and your fiancée talk with each other about what you are both dreaming of when it comes to your honeymoon. Each of you should make a list of the things you want in your honeymoon, and then compare notes.
If you are far apart, then start with two or three things you are close on, and build your honeymoon around those. If you have lots of similarities, then work to combine those into a top 10 list. Then, begin to plan a honeymoon that includes as many of your top 10 list as possible. The most important thing to remember is that the honeymoon is for both of you, and building your honeymoon together, will give you the honeymoon you have always dreamed of.
2. . Do Your Homework: Once you have a good idea of the type of things you are looking for in your honeymoon, then you need to start doing a lot of research on destinations and resorts. You can check Trip Advisor, ( Now they are owned by Expedia), so I don’t know how unbiased they really are anymore, Google different destinations, read resort reviews, look at photos. I can tell you first hand, that not every resort looks as impressive as the photos. You can also call a resort and ask to speak to the manager with some of the questions you have about their property. Depending on which destination you call, there can be a language barrier. If that isn't a big deal to you, then don't let that be a factor in your decision.
