8 Tips to Avoiding Honeymoon Nightmares: Choosing Your Room

If you have been reading my posts on avoiding honeymoon nightmares, you know that I am working my way through the 8 tips that will help create the honeymoon of your dreams, and hopefully avoid some of the pitfalls that other couples have had to endure.  Let's do a quick review of the first four steps:

1. Plan your honeymoon together

2. Doing your homework

3. Getting your passport early

4. Keeping your money safe

Doing all of these will greatly increase your chances of a fantastic honeymoon, and now here are tips some more tips to help get you closer to honeymoon perfection.

Tip 5. Choosing Your Room:luxury suite at Sandals Emerald Bay all inclusive resort  The first thing to remember is that a honeymoon is not just any vacation.  This is usually phase two in the marriage process.  A honeymoon that helps you to relax, be pampered and have romance is crucial to starting your marriage on the right track.  You should be willing to spend a little more money on your room than you normally would. Sometimes the basic room catagory at a resort is not much fancier than a Holiday Inn room. Again, you are not just spending the night somewhere, this is your honeymoon!  If you can afford it, always go with a honeymoon suite, or better room category.  A great room will provide you with the luxury, romance, and comfort that you both will need after all of the stress and planning you endured leading up to your wedding.  Paying just a couple hundred dollars more can give you a totally different honeymoon experience.

Tip 6.  Avoiding Stomach Issues and Sickness: picture of girl with stomach ace: www.findhomeremedy.com Most of the honeymoon locations that I recommend to my clients are very safe and have good health records.  Even with that good track record, you should still take some precautions and use good judgment while traveling.  Even when a resort says it is safe to drink the water,  I  still recommend drinking only the bottled water that is available on your resort.  The bottled water is purified and free of contaminants.  Make sure when you eat meat, that it is cooked through.  It doesn't have to be burnt or well done, just cooked to medium.   I also recommend packing some anti-diarrhea and anti-nausea medicine. It is usually very expensive to purchase these types of things at your resort if you need them. Most of the time, you won't need these, but you should always bring a small amount just in case.

Most honeymoons will go on without a hitch, but these tips will help you take those extra precautions just in case.

Tomorrow I will give you the final two tips to avoid honeymoon disasters.
