Yes, the Caribbean Islands require U.S. citizens to have passports. St. Thomas, St. Croix, and Puerto Rico allow U.S. citizens to enter with just proof of citizenship. This proof can be either a passport (our recommendation) or a state issued certified copy of your birth certificate accompanied by a government issued photo identification (i.e. driver's license).

Several resorts we recommend offer a free wedding package. Ask your specialist what you need to do to qualify and whether or not this is a good option for you.

Yes. Travel protection is offered in different varieties. It is best to speak with your specialist to ensure you have the coverage that best fits your needs. Travel protection is recommended as it not only protects your investment, but also protects you during your travel.

At Paradise Getaways, we work closely with tour operators and resorts to ensure you receive the best possible price. We also offer a price match guarantee. Our commission is paid by the resorts, not by you. However, some planning requires additional in-depth research and time at which point your specialist may request a prepaid non-refundable consulting fee. This fee may be applied toward the final payment of your purchase. Please consult with your specialist for details.

An initial deposit (paid with credit or debit card) along with your names (as listed on passport), dates of birth, address, phone number, emergency contact name and number are required to secure your travel.

Round trip transfers between the airport and the resort are prearranged by your consultant. If you have a package that does not include the air, we'll need your flight information to arrange your transfers.

A deposit is required to secure your reservation with the final payment due 45 days prior to departure. Incremental payments are accepted anytime. All major credit cards are accepted.

The American dollar is widely accepted. Traveler's checks are a great way to protect you from lost or stolen money. Credit Cards are also widely accepted at the resort and in the major shopping areas, but not in the local markets, so be sure to have some cash. Contact your bank or credit card company before travel. Talk with your specialist to ensure you are prepared for your trip.

You will need to travel under the name listed on your passport. In most cases, your maiden name.

Cancellation fees will vary and be based on travel dates, if airline tickets have been issued, supplier fees, and tour operator fees. Make sure you understand all terms and conditions of your package. Travel protection is recommended.

Revisions can be made, but fees will apply. Most airline tickets have restrictions that will incur extra charges. If your new airfare or hotel reservation is higher than the original, you'll need to pay the difference. Consult with your specialist to see if a revision is a good option for you as each situation will be different.

Each resort is different, but the majority of the resorts include all meals, drinks, water sports, daily activities, nightly entertainment, tips, taxes, and more. Some resorts have extra inclusions such as golf, horseback riding, scuba diving, and island excursions.

All rooms are very unique and each resort has its own style. It’s important to let your specialist know what you are looking for in a room and allow him or her to share the differences in each room category. Views are an important factor in a room. You may have a view of the gardens, partial ocean view, ocean view, oceanfront, beachfront etc.  Rooms by the beach or with great ocean views will be the most expensive. Suites come in all shapes and sizes and usually include extra amenities, sitting area, Jacuzzi tubs etc. If you want to make your stay special, suites are recommended.

Daytime is casual and nighttime is casual elegance. Men will need slacks and a collared shirt in most of the restaurants. Some resorts may have a restaurant that requires a jacket.  Ladies? We don’t need to worry about you!  Each resort is different, so please consult with your specialist to ensure you properly pack.

We recommend that you book your travel package at least 6 months in advance if possible as this will give you more options with flights and with room availability. We can arrange last minute travel packages as well, but this is not recommended for a honeymoon or destination wedding.  If you are planning on traveling during a holiday, you should book at least 9 months prior.  It is best to secure a wedding date at least a year in advance if not more. Airfare is available 330 days prior to departure and some resorts will allow you to hold your room up to two years ahead of time.  Your specialist will be able to tell you if this is a good option for you and what the cancellation policy is.
